My name is Carole Nash and I am the Parent Support Worker at Oak View School.
I am available to meet with parents and carers to offer support or discuss your needs on a Friday morning.
There are times when we all need someone to talk to and most importantly to listen and hear us. My role will to be to offer parents an opportunity to discuss issues which may be concerning them. Whilst I am not a trained counsellor, I will be working alongside local agencies and these may give you the support and reassurance you may need.
Parenting can at times be demanding and stressful. Having time to talk things through can lead to positive changes and allow you to be in control.
Here are some of the areas that may leave parents and carers feeling troubled:
- Moving to secondary school
- Children’s learning and/or development
- Separation, loss or bereavement
- Managing challenging behaviour
- Becoming a step-parent
Please feel free to pop in for a chat or book an appointment through the school office to meet with me.
Information you choose to share is confidential, although all workers have a duty to safeguard children.
