On Tuesday 21st March, 7 boys from Year 4 participated in a Football competition at Countess Anne Primary School. The boys started off strong, winning their first match and going on to draw in their second. Although they put forth their greatest efforts in their last two matches, they lost both. Year 6 Welwyn Hatfield Schools Dance Festival

On Wednesday 15th March, Mrs Wan and Mrs Chifiero accompanied a group of 22 children from Year 6 to the Welwyn/Hatfield Schools Dance Festival which was held at the Hawthorne Theatre in WGC. The evening was outstanding with a wonderful display of dances from ‘Around the World’. Our next step is the Chance2Dance competition coming up 24th April in Stevenage.

On Tuesday 7th March, children from Years 5 and 6 participated in a rugby festival at Countess Anne Primary School. The children performed amazingly and had such a fantastic attitude. On Wednesday 18th January, 8 children from Matisse class participated in a Speed Stacking competition at Sir Frederick Osborn in Welwyn Garden City. The children had been expertly trained under the watchful eye of Mrs Nash and definitely didn’t disappoint! It was a wonderful afternoon and the children were very speedy indeed. Though every one who participated did very well, the girl’s team managed to place first in one of the categories – Girls 3-3-3 competition.

Congratulations to these children for all of their hard work!

The activities were fast and furious and the children did an amazing job keeping up with the pace and were worn out by the end!

Overall, our boys team came in THIRD place overall and our girls team came in SECOND place overall. As first and second place move forward to the finals at Sir Frederick Osborn on the 2nd of February, our girls team has qualified!

Congratulations to all who took part! You represented Oak View extremely well!

We would like to say well done to Matisse class for winning the Badminton Skills Competition! Well done!
